Import of cosmetics to Norway

Cosmetics is more than just make-up. Products like toothpaste, sunscreen, hair color, creams, soaps and tattoos are also covered by the cosmetic regulation in Norway. Many cosmetic products contain chemicals that can be harmful in large concentrations, or may cause sensitization. Therefore, there is a separate set of rules that regulate substances in cosmetic products.

Those who manufactures, imports and sells cosmetics are responsible for following the rules.
