Anyone aged 16 or over who intends to fish salmon, sea trout or sea char in rivers and lakes in Norway must pay the national fishing fee.
Recrational fishers are also responsible for preveting the spread of disease while visiting Norway. Please follow the advice in the information brochure from the Norwegian Food Safety Authority (NFSA) which you find below.
NFSA supervises the fish health in Norway. It is important that new fish deseases are not introduced into the country, and that existing deseases are not spread.
