Levels of anthropogenic radionuclides in fish feed are likewise very low.
The levels of anthropogenic and natural radionuclides found in farmed salmon in a study in 2016 are comparable to or lower than the levels found in other fish species in the North Atlantic Ocean.
Any potential health risk caused by the levels of radionuclides found in farmed salmon in the present study will be very low and should be of no concern to the consumer.
