Food fortified with vitamins, minerals or certain “other substances”e may be marketed in Norway only if they comply with the supplementary Norwegian provisions on the addition of vitamins, minerals and certain “other substances” in the regulation (EF) 1925/2006.

Taxes

The Norwegian Food Safety Authority is obliged to impose a fee on the handling of the petition on fortification. There will also be an administration fee of NOK 100.

An invoice will be sent when the application is handled, and will be imposed whether the permission is granted or not. More information on the fee can be found at Forskrift om betaling av gebyrer for særskilte ytelser fra Mattilsynet
