In connection with the outbreak of coronavirus, many companies want to start with take away or catering to customers. Here are some important things to keep in mind.

Do I need to register changed operations?

No. If your business is already registered as a restaurant or cafe you can also offer take away or use drop-off services such as Foodora or Just Eat.

If you transport the food to the customer yourself, you can add catering to your registration with the Norwegian Food Safety Authority.

What requirements do I have to deal with?

Transport

  • If you deliver food yourselves, you are responsible for ensuring that the food is kept at the right temperature until delivery. Feel free to use thermocouples or heat packs to keep food warm or cold.
  • You must have procedures to ensure the necessary cleaning of the delivery vehicle.

Remember good practices for hygiene and hand washing
