Begrunnelse for etterevalueringen

The vaccination and infection trials described were carried out satisfactorily. We have identified a vaccine candidate that will be further optimised. The infection trial , including the jellyfish bloom simulation provides new insights into the consequences of climate change.
The animals used corresponded to the actual number described in the application. 554 fish were subjected to mild distress, 1423 were subjected to moderate distress while 223 animals experienced severe.
New invitro models can be used to screen vaccine candidates and evaluate the compound effects of climate change-related stressors. The number of fish in the trial could be reduced by considering reducing the number of timepoints. New technologies such as camera and hyperspectral imaging should be explored in identifying and characterising diseased fish.
